Committee on Unplanned Incidental Expenses
Mandate
Make recommendations to City Council on budgetary items related to the Committee’s mandate.
Responsibilities
1. Respond to Council’s requests for information;
2. Recommend the establishment of new by-laws or policies on
municipal finances or recommend changes to existing bylaws and
policies;
3. Review management recommendations regarding all unplanned
incidental expenses that exceed $10,000 and require internal budget
transfers as outlined in Section 4(2) of by-law No. A-6, “A By-law of
the Municipality of Dieppe relating to Budget Preparation and
Control, Expenditures, Purchases and Inventory Control”;
4. Review all financial funding requests from agencies or external
groups that could impact on Dieppe’s current and future fiscal
balance;
5. Review cost overruns of all capital projects;
6. At the request of City Council, review and analyze areas of concern
as they relate to this mandate.
Membership of the Committee
The committee will be composed of five (5) members
· three (3) City Council members
· the Treasurer or his/her representative (ex-officio)
· the Chief Administrative Officer (ex-officio). |
