The collection of residential garbage in Dieppe takes place three days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday:
Municipal regulations dictate that garbage must be placed at the street before 4 a.m. on the day of collection and not before 6 p.m. the day before.

The City of Dieppe follows the 3-Stream Program. The program involves the separation of recyclable waste, which is placed in transparent blue bags, organics waste, which is placed in transparent green bags and garbage, which is placed in transparent clear bags. To find out which bag in which to place your garbage, consult the Southeast regional service commission who is responsible for managing the area's solid waste or eco360.ca
The green bag is collected weekly, whereas the blue bag and the clear bag are collected in alternation of one week out of two.
Recyclables are sorted into more than 30 types of recyclable material. Compostable material from the green bags is processed and turned into a rich compost ideal for lawns and gardens.
Twice per year, a special collection is held in order to gather large items that are not picked up during regular collections, such as furniture, appliances, branches, etc.
Twice per year - in the Spring and Fall - domestic hazardous waste from households only, such as cleaning products, chemical fertilizers, paint, razor blades, batteries, etc., may be dropped off at the WASWC's mobile unit. You may also deposit these free of charge in person at the WASWC facility.
