Recently retired from her career as a registered nurse, Ms. Boudreau trained at the Providence School of Nursing in Moncton (1983-1985) before pursuing further training in critical care at Université de Moncton (1993-1995). In 1996, she earned a Clinical Science Certificate from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She also holds annual certification in Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) from the International Council for Harmonisation.

She spent more than 20 years in the public sector, including at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre and the Extra-Mural Program. She also spent 21 years in the private sector as a Senior Clinical Research Associate.

In this strategic role, she was responsible for overseeing clinical trials and ensuring their quality, protecting patients’ rights and well-being, ensuring rigorous data management and fostering exemplary collaboration with researchers and regulatory authorities such as Health Canada and the FDA. Her work played an essential role in the development of new treatments and therapies designed to improve patients’ lives.

In her new role as mayor of the City of Dieppe, Ms. Boudreau brings more than 30 years of experience serving her community. She previously served as a city councillor from 2008 to 2012. During that time, she worked actively to promote and develop the city and was elected vice-president of the Cities of New Brunswick Association.

Over the years, she has served with numerous organizations and boards of directors, including:

• Expansion Dieppe, the City of Dieppe’s economic development organization

• House of Nazareth, Chair

• Société de l’Acadie du Nouveau-Brunswick, Vice-President

• BGC Dieppe

• Cercle des dames d’Acadie de Dieppe, Vice-President

• Dieppe French language and heritage promotion committee, Chair

• Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre

• Construction committee for the Aquatic and Sports Centre and Rotary St-Anselme Pavilion

• Airport, Excessive Noise Committee

• The Lions Sick Children’s Fund, Moncton Inside Ride Subcommittee, Chair

These are just a few of the more than 20 organizations to which she has generously contributed her time, expertise and leadership.

Her outstanding commitment to the community was recognized in 2014, when she received a YWCA Women of Distinction Award, recognizing her exceptional contribution to the collective well-being and vitality of the community.

On a personal note, Ms. Boudreau has been married to Paul for 40 years. Together, they have two adult daughters and four grandsons.
