Culture Comes Alive Outdoors: Dieppe Unveils Its Summer Program

This summer, the City of Dieppe is inviting residents and visitors alike to enjoy a festive, inclusive season rooted in Acadian pride. A full lineup of free activities and events will bring downtown Dieppe to life throughout the summer.

Fricot Franco Festival

The major new addition to the 2026 calendar is the inaugural Fricot Franco Festival, taking place August 12 to 16. Inspired by the traditional Acadian dish from which it takes its name, this brand-new festival blends music, comedy, and francophone culture into a celebration where every ingredient contributes its own unique flavour. The festival will feature five days of free performances in the heart of Dieppe, culminating in the official National Acadian Day show on August 15, produced by the Société nationale de l'Acadie and aired by Radio-Canada Acadie. The evening will showcase performances by Lisa LeBlanc, Laurie LeBlanc, Les Gars du Nord, Colleen Power, and many other artists, under the artistic direction of René Poirier and emceed by Menoncle Jason.

Culture

Diversity Monday is back for another summer season. Each week, residents will have the opportunity to discover a different culture through food, traditions, and experiences that engage all the senses.

Beginning June 30, Trouvailles 1604 will transform Place 1604 into a lively Tuesday evening market featuring local vendors, food trucks, live music, and bouncy castles. Visitors can also enjoy the patio experience with CAVOK.

The Wednesday Show returns on July 8 with a free weekly concert series, once again accompanied by a bike valet service. The lineup includes performances by Laurie LeBlanc, Jourdan Thibodeaux, Olivier Bergeron, La Trappe, and many more.

Highlights

·        Canadian Multiculturalism Day on June 27 at Place 1604

·        FIFA World Cup broadcasts on June 27, 28, and July 1
