Dieppe Launches Advance Sales of 75th Anniversary Commemorative Volume
The City of Dieppe invites the public to reserve now a copy of the official book commemorating the 75th anniversary of its incorporation, which will be celebrated in 2027. The richly illustrated volume traces nearly three centuries of history, from the first families to settle in the region in the 1730s to the ambitions shaping the municipality’s future.
With almost 200 pages, some 70 photographs and fifteen chapters, the book paints a full and captivating portrait of Dieppe: its origins and pioneers, the moments that have marked its history and its transformation into one of the liveliest municipalities in New Brunswick.
“The history of the City of Dieppe is that of dispersed Acadian settlements, destruction, return, putting down roots, development, vision and future,” said Mayor Boudreau. “This work celebrates the history of our municipality and of those who built it. It’s a heritage that we have a duty to preserve and to transmit to the generations who will come after us. Understanding where you come from enables you to go even farther.”
Advance sale copies will be delivered in December 2026 at the Dieppe Market. The book, which is available in both French and English for $40 a copy, tax included, can be reserved by filling out the form at https://onlineforms.dieppe.ca/Pre-sale-commemorative-book-for-the-75th.
