Dieppe Celebrates Welcoming Week with a Fair
As part of Welcoming Week, the City of Dieppe invites residents to its Welcome Fair on Friday, September 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the UNIplex, 450 College Street. The event is free and open to everyone.
The fair will bring together community organizations, local partners and municipal services. The booths will cover such topics as services for families and children, training, employment, entrepreneurship, volunteering, culture and sports. Contact information will also be available for organizations unable to attend in person.
Visitors can explore the booths, ask questions, learn about available services and speak with resource people who can support them as they settle in the city and go about their daily lives in Dieppe. Door prizes will be awarded.
Community organizations will also offer group information sessions.
Welcoming newcomers is everyone’s responsibility
“Settling in a new community can raise questions, even after several months or years,” said Christian Camilleri, the City of Dieppe’s immigration, diversity and inclusion coordinator. “This fair is an opportunity to meet directly with the organizations and services that can support residents in their daily lives.”
