2026 Welcome Fair

Are you new to Dieppe or looking for resources to make daily life easier? Come meet community organizations, local partners and municipal services at the first-ever Welcome Fair.

Held as part of Welcoming Week, this event is an opportunity to ask questions, learn about services available in the region and speak directly with resource people. It is also an opportunity to network and discover ways to get involved in your community.

Whether you settled in Dieppe recently or a long time ago, you will find useful information and support.

What’s happening

Information booths featuring organizations, local partners and City of Dieppe services

•    Group information sessions
•    Activities for the whole family, including face painting and balloon twisting
•    A 30-minute wellness session
•    Door prizes

Resources

The booths will cover a variety of topics relevant to daily life, including:

•    settlement, immigration and general guidance
•    employment, training and entrepreneurship
•    services for families, children and youth
•    recreation, sports, culture, volunteering and civic engagement
•    transportation, mobility and practical matters
•    municipal services available in Dieppe
•    inclusion, diversity, rights and safety

Wellness session

A 30-minute wellness session will also be offered. Participants will learn more about:

•    the emotional journey experienced by newcomers and the challenges they may face
•    simple ways to manage everyday frustrations
•    an accessible tool for staying motivated
•    a breathing exercise that promotes calm and relaxation

Door prize

Enter the door-prize draw for a chance to win a 72-hour emergency survival backpack for four people. The draw will take place at approximately 6:30 p.m., about 30 minutes before the event ends.
