Meet the pirates

In 2026, expect to see some friendly new faces at the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre! A complete redesign of the Centre’s visual identity is underway, with a clear goal: to make signage and instructions easier to understand, standardize graphic elements and make every visit even more enjoyable.

The new image is all about clarity, consistency and fun. On-site signs will be updated to make it easier for everyone to find their way around. And for younger visitors, a league of wacky pirates has been created to help teach safety rules in a playful way.

Captain Star
A lucky (sea) star to guide us

At the helm is Captain Star, the ship’s caring guardian and proud symbol of Dieppe. She makes sure everything runs smoothly, but she can’t do it alone. Her crew includes....

Slowdown Supervisor
A laid-back turtle who reminds you that: “you’re never late when you’re a pirate.”

Master of Rules
A talkative parrot who loves to remind everyone, ”Follow the instructions carefully or end up in the water.”

Snack Thief
A mischievous seagull who encourages you to put your snacks away. Rumour has it he once stole and devoured an entire cake all by himself… and it wasn’t even his party!

Respect Ranger
A friendly crab who promotes calm and respectful exchanges. His motto: Don’t be crabby!

Electronics Eliminator
An old-fashioned octopus who keeps phones and cameras off the pool deck.

With this new approach, the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre hopes to create an even safer, more inclusive and more entertaining space for everyone.
