Dieppe’s transit network gets a cosmic upgrade

As of August 23, 2026, a new transit constellation will take shape in Dieppe: 188 stops, 6 routes, and a redesigned network to better serve residents and support the municipality’s growth. 

The result of months of planning and a public consultation involving hundreds of residents, this enhancement is a first step in the Transit Growth Plan. 

Until August 23, nothing changes: current service, with routes 93, 94, and 95, will continue to operate as usual.

Astrology enthusiast: the new network launches the day that Mercury retrograde comes to an end — the astrological period best known for scrambled signals and travel snafus. A fitting celestial alignment to kick off a smoother, more predictable era of mobility in Dieppe. 

The new network includes: 

• an increase from 3 to 6 routes; 

• 86 new stops on Dieppe’s network, for a total of 188 stops; 

• two-way service on almost the entire network; 

• expanded coverage across the city, with new areas served; 

• more frequent service in a number of areas, with up to 8 buses per hour in some locations; 

• a second transfer hub, on Aquatique Street; 

• the same service hours as today, from Monday to Sunday; 

• the ability to explore the future network now through the Citymapper app’s future mode. 

A first step for Dieppe 

“This first step in a multi-phase plan allows us to offer a more complete network that is easier to access and better adapted to a growing city. By doubling the number of routes and improving coverage across the city, we want to make trips simpler and more efficient, while offering more options to make the service more predictable for Dieppe residents and all riders,” says Jérémie Aubé, director of urban mobility at the City of Dieppe. 

On-demand transit will also evolve so that it better aligns with the new network, including the addition of the Aquatique Street transfer hub and expanded coverage. The service’s operating area will be updated, so some stops or transfer points will be moved or removed, while others will be added.

To become familiar with the new routes before they launch, residents can now view the upcoming network using Citymapper’s future mode, a tool that can also be used to plan trips on foot, by bike, or by bus.
