On August 23, 2026, a better transit network becomes reality. After months of planning and public consultation involving hundreds of residents, Phase 1 of the Transit Growth Plan will launch.

Until August 23, nothing changes: the current service, routes 93, 94, and 95, will continue to operate as usual.

A first step for Dieppe

This enhancement marks the first step. Other changes are already being considered for future phases of the Transit Growth Plan.

During the 2024 public consultation, residents put their wishes out into the universe: more frequent service, better coverage across the city, and consistent reliability.

What the stars say

Twice as many routes: from 3 to 6, to better serve the entire city

The number of bus stops is nearly doubling, from 102 to 188

Two-way service on almost all routes

An expanded service area, including areas not previously covered

Much more frequent service in a number of areas, with up to 8 buses per hour in places that previously had only one or two

A second transfer hub, on Aquatique Street, to make transfers easier

The same service hours as today, from Monday to Sunday

What happens to my current route?

Route 93, serving the Champlain area, will remain, with adjustments.

Route 94, serving Centrale, will become routes 94 and 94A, serving the Thomas area.

Route 95, serving Amirault, will be integrated into routes 96 and 96A.

The Chartersville area will now have its own dedicated route, Route 98.

On-demand transit is changing too

The launch of the new transit network also means changes to the on-demand transit service, which is designed to bridge the gap between fixed routes and certain underserved areas of the city. Current service, until August 23

Dieppe is proud to offer a public transit service on its territory.

The Dieppe network offers three fixed routes in partnership with Codiac Transpo (routes 93, 94, and 95), as well as on-demand transit for areas not served by those routes.

The fixed-route fares are listed on the Codiac Transpo website. On-demand transit is offered free of charge, as the fair is paid when boarding the Codiac Transpo bus.

Several initiatives, such as free youth passes and the free transit service for seniors on Wednesdays, are also available.
