The municipality will be undertaking the reconstruction of LeBlanc Road, between civic numbers 609 and 855. The work will include the reconstruction and widening of the roadway, as well as ditching and culvert replacement to ensure effective drainage and the relocation of certain utility poles.

Work Schedule

Work will begin on June 22 and is expected to be completed in September. Construction hours are generally from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some work may also take place on weekends or in the evenings.

Traffic Impacts

During construction, only local traffic will be permitted on this section of LeBlanc Road. Detour signs will be in place.

During Construction

  • Construction work may require encroachment onto your property. The contractor is responsible for repairing any property damage and restoring the work site. Photographs will be taken prior to the start of construction to document the condition of the site.
  • Any flower beds, plants, flowers, and other items located within the municipal right-of-way will not be restored after construction. If you wish to keep them, please relocate them before work begins.
  • Once work begins, heavy equipment will be required to carry out the work. Noise and vibration are to be expected.
  • We are committed to keeping the construction site clean and safe, and will make every effort to minimize inconveniences. However, dust and noise are unavoidable aspects of construction projects.
  • The community mailbox will need to be relocated to allow for the work. Canada Post will contact you over the coming weeks with further details.
  • Property owners with special needs should share their concerns with the on-site project inspector, Samuel MacWilliams, at 506.988.8118, as soon as possible in order to minimize any inconveniences.

Will construction affect waste collection?

Waste collection will take place as scheduled throughout the duration of the construction project. Please ensure your waste is placed at the curb no later than 4 a.m. on the morning of collection.

Will parking be affected?

For residences directly adjacent to the active work zone, access to driveways may be restricted at certain times. If this is the case, the site supervisor will notify you the day before. Residents with special mobility needs are asked to contact us as soon as possible.

Will bus routes change?
