Reconstruction of Ste-Thérèse Street (Phase 2)
The reconstruction of Ste-Thérèse Street, between Acadie Avenue and the MusiquART site, will take place from May to October, 2026. The work will include the installation of new water mains, the replacement of storm and sanitary sewers, asphalt renewal, curb replacement, and the construction of a paved path for pedestrians and cyclists.

The project will be carried out in two phases.
Phase A: From the MusiquART site to Richelieu Street, including a portion of the Ste-Thérèse school entrance. This phase is expected to begin on Monday, May 18 and continue until the beginning of August.
Phase B: From Richelieu Street to Acadie Avenue. This work will begin once Phase A is complete and will continue until October.
Construction Schedule
Work will take place from May 18 to the end of October. Construction hours are generally from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. Some work may be carried out on weekends or in the evenings.
Impact on Traffic
During the first few weeks of construction, the intersection of Ste-Thérèse and Notre-Dame streets will be closed to traffic, and a detour will be in place. In addition, only local traffic will be permitted on Ste-Thérèse Street for the entire duration of the construction.
During the Project
- Construction work may require us to encroach on your property. The contractor is responsible for repairing any property damage and restoring the work site. Photos will be taken prior to the start of construction to document the condition of the site.
- Any flower beds, plants, flowers, and other items located within the municipal right-of-way will not be restored after construction. If you wish to keep them, please relocate them before work begins.
- Once work begins, heavy equipment will be required to carry out the construction. Noise and vibration are to be expected.
- We are committed to keeping the construction site clean and safe, and we will make every effort to minimize inconveniences. However, dust and noise are unavoidable aspects of construction projects.
- Property owners with special needs are asked to share their concerns with the on-site project inspector, Frédérique Gaudet, at 506.866.8519, as soon as possible in order to minimize disruptions.
How You Can Help
- Stay clear of the work zone for your safety and the safety of the workers.
- Drive carefully in the area and pay close attention to workers' directions and road signs.
