Lane reductions – Champlain Street (August 8-11, 2023)

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that there will be lane reductions on Champlain Street, between Paul Street and Acadie Avenue, from Tuesday, August 8 to Friday, August 11.
These lane reductions will take place during the day and at night, and are necessary to allow for repair work. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.
Please note that all businesses will remain accessible. The Jean Coutu pharmacy will be accessible from Olivier Street and the Irving gas station...
Road closure – Lorette Street (August 1 and August 2, 2023)

DIEPPE, NB — Update: the City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Lorette Street will be closed to traffic in the area of Airview Street on Tuesday, August 1, and Wednesday, August 2, weather permitting.
This closure is necessary in order to allow for work on the water and sewer system. Detour signs will be in place.
Airview and Benoît streets will be accessible through Lakeburn Avenue.
The City regrets any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates your patience and collaboration.
Asphalt transportation – Champlain Street and Acadie Avenue project

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise residents that the milled asphalt, as part of the Champlain Street and Acadie Avenue project, will be transported on the site of the former Centenaire Arena between 7 and 11 p.m. during the construction period. After 11 p.m., the asphalt will be transported to the Operations Centre.
Construction will generally take place at night, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. in order to limit the impact on traffic and access to businesses.

Rotary St-Anselme Park temporary closure

Update - Rotary St-Anselme Park will be open to the public as of 8 a.m. (Sunday, July 30). Normal activities within the park can resume. The RCMP will provide further information when possible. We would like to thank residents for their cooperation.
Rotary St-Anselme Park is currently closed due to a police operation.
At this time, there’s no risk to the public.
More information will be shared once available.

Bear sighted in the municipality (July 28, 2023)

The municipality has been informed that a bear was sighted in a residential neighborhood.
Black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, but they are opportunistic feeders, and will attempt to eat anything that looks, smells or tastes like food.
Residents are kindly asked to avoid leaving garbage or food outside as much as possible.
