Tintamarre with international kite fliers

DIEPPE (N.B.) — Dieppe KITE Festival activities are well underway as the festival continues to attract large crowds.
Don’t miss the start of the vehicle tintamarre tomorrow beginning at 5 p.m. at Dover Park as it heads to CCNB-Dieppe (community college). Kite fliers will be at Place 1604 for the opening of National Acadian Day celebrations with Francelle Maria, Fayo and Laurie LeBlanc.

DIEPPE (N.B.) — The 9th edition of Dieppe KITE International begins tomorrow with a number of activities for the entire family at Dover Park.
The festival will welcome more than 50 kite fliers from Canada, Germany, England, Columbia, Denmark, the United States, France, Haiti, Indonesia, Israel, Netherlands, Sweden and Tasmania.

Seniors in Motion Program

DIEPPE, N.B. — The Seniors in Motion Program encourages active living through wellness activities and social outings. Activities are organized by the City of Dieppe and held once per month.
Scheduled August activity:
Sunday, August 25 – Sports and Social Day
A day of sports begins at 10 a.m., including washer toss games, shuffleboard, petanque and horseshoes at Rotary St-Anselme Park`s 55+ Corner. A hike along the trails is also scheduled, as well as a corn boil. This event is free.

Closure of Avalon Street
DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Avalon Street will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, August 7, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Work on Acadie Avenue

DIEPPE (NB) — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise the motoring public that Acadie Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction, on August 6 and 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., between Normandie Street and Clinique médicale dépannage du Marais, weather permitting.
All businesses along the route will be accessible while the work is being carried out.
