New three-way stop at Gauvin and Lafrance

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that a new three-way stop will be installed at the Gauvin Road/Lafrance Street intersection on Tuesday, May 24. In case of bad weather, the work will be postponed to the following day.
This new stop will allow for better traffic flow on Lafrance Street for drivers coming from Champlain Street.

Lane reductions on Champlain Street and Acadie Avenue

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that there will be lane reductions on Champlain Street, between Wheeler Boulevard (Moncton) and Acadie Avenue as well as on Acadie Avenue, between Alain-Gillette and Champlain streets, from Tuesday, May 24 to Friday, June 3, weather permitting.
These lane reductions are necessary in order to allow for asphalt repair work. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.
Please note that businesses will remain accessible during the construction.

Please be advised that there will be a regular Council meeting on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 7 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, which can also be seen and heard on the City’s website. The City of Dieppe invites residents to the “55+ Corner” in Rotary St-Anselme Park, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. from May 20 to September 5. Don’t let the name fool you: the 55+ Corner is open to everyone, regardless of age.
The corner features a host of free games, including Bocce (pétanque), floor shuffleboard, ring toss, and horseshoes.
Amenities also include several playgrounds, picnic tables and a shaded area for relaxing.

Curbside Treasures is Back!

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe is proud to announce that after a few years’ hiatus due to the pandemic, the Curbside Treasures initiative is back! Free up space at home or find yourself a treasure by participating in this event, which will take place on Saturday, May 21, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. In case of rain, the activity will be rescheduled to the same time the following day (Sunday, May 22).
