Road work - Champlain and Notre-Dame Streets

DIEPPE, (NB) — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that road work will take place at the intersection of Champlain and Notre-Dame Streets on Thursday, July 7, weather permitting.
During the construction, the southbound lane on Notre-Dame Street will be closed.
Detour signs will be in place.
It should be noted that businesses will remain accessible during construction.
The City regrets any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates your patience and collaboration.

Mock drill for six Dieppe cadets

Media representatives are invited to attend a mock emergency drill on Wednesday, March 16 between 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Oulton College.
Six cadets from the Dieppe Fire Department will take part, along with Oulton College paramedical and nursing students, in this 3-day drill.
As in the case of a 911 call, the Fire Department’s emergency vehicle will be dispatched to the scene, where Oulton College students will act as victims. The Paramedical Program students will then take over by transporting the injured...

A reminder that there are no swim classes and no aquatic activities during March break.
Private swimming courses that are held on March 5 and 6 are sold out.
The Centre offers a modified pool schedule during March break. The Centre will be offering three different public swim times every day: 10 a.m. – 11:25 a.m., 2 p.m. – 3:55 p.m. and in the evening from 6 p.m. -7:55 p.m. (with the inflatable structure). Lap swim times and five mornings of aquahealth 50+ will also be available.

Adoption of 2016 municipal budget

DIEPPE, N.B. — Dieppe city council adopted its 2016 operating budgets totalling $62.3 million during its regular public meeting held on December 14. Of this amount, $50.3 million will go toward the general operating budget while $12 million will go toward the budget for water and sewer.
Capital spending budgets were also passed at the meeting: $10.9 million for the general capital budget (borrowing $1.5 million) and $1.7 million for the water and sewer capital budget.
