Volunteers sought for various council committees

The City of Dieppe is seeking residents to sit as volunteer members on a number of council committees.
City council established a variety of advisory committees in order to receive feedback and advice on a number of subjects affecting the municipality and the quality of life of its residents. Council appoints members to these committees. Volunteers are provided with training.

Registration at Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre

DIEPPE, N.B. — Registration for preschool swimming courses (ages 18 months to 4 years) and junior swimming courses (ages 5 to 13) for the January to April session will be offered online at dieppe.ca or in person at the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre beginning Tuesday, December 18, at 6 p.m. for Dieppe residents and Thursday, December 20, at 6 p.m. for non-residents.
Registration costs are $55 for preschool courses and $80 for junior courses. There are 10 sessions per course.

Online registration available soon

Beginning in a few weeks, City of Dieppe residents and non-residents will be able to register online for various activities offered by the City.
However, before being able to register, individuals must first acquire a profile number by filling out an application form available online at dieppe.ca.
The first online registrations will be accepted soon. It is suggested that residents and non-residents apply for a profile number now in order so that it be available at hand when online registration begins.

Winter parking restrictions

The City of Dieppe wishes to advise the motoring public that street parking is prohibited between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m., from December 1st to March 31st.
Fines could be given to vehicle owners who do not comply. Vehicles of recurrent offenders could be towed at their expense.
Please note that vehicles will be towed at the owners’ expense if they affect snow removal efforts during storms.

Santa Claus visits Dieppe

DIEPPE, N.B. — More than 300 children are expected to attend Dieppe’s annual A Christmas Story event taking place at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre on Sunday, December 9. Admission is free.
