A productive month of April in Dieppe

DIEPPE, N.B. — In April, 79 building permits were issued in Dieppe worth a total of $11,487,372. In the commercial sector, 11 permits were issued representing investments of $3,496,766, while 68 residential permits were issued valued at a total of $7,990,606.

Traffic lights at Amirault-Chartersville intersection

DIEPPE, N.B.— The City of Dieppe wishes to advise residents that NB Power will be working at the intersection of Amirault Street and Chartersville Road on Monday, May 14, between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
This work means that the traffic lights at that intersection will not be functioning. Because of this, the intersection will automatically revert to a four-way stop during that period of time.

Tentative agreement reached between the City of Dieppe and the union representing its firefighters

DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe has reached a tentative contract agreement with Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 3515 representing the city’s firefighters.
“We are very pleased to have reached an agreement with the union,” said City of Dieppe chief administrative officer Marc Melanson. “Collaboration and co-operation were key elements in reaching this agreement, demonstrating the good faith on both sides of the negotiations – the employer and the union.”

Work on Olivier Street

DIEPPE (NB) — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise the motoring public that construction work will be done on Olivier Street, between Paul Street and Acadie Avenue, starting on Tuesday, May 1st for a few weeks.
One lane on Paul Street and Acadie Avenue could be closed sporadically on Tuesday, May 1st and Wednesday, May 2.
