Dieppe, February 14, 2025-The City of Dieppe will be showcasing outstanding volunteers at its third annual Les Chalins gala. Nominations are now open to recognize individuals who actively contribute to our community’s vitality.
The gala aims to highlight the involvement of volunteers who excel in seven different areas and is meant to be an inviting and festive celebration, where finalists and winners alike are honoured for their remarkable commitment.
“Volunteers are the bedrock of our community, and the gala is a way of saying thank you to them,” says community officer Jonathan Desroches. “Every year, we discover new inspiring stories and unique journeys that deserve to be highlighted.”
The public and community organizations are invited to nominate extraordinary volunteers in one of the following categories:
- Seniors
- Community involvement
- Involvement by a newcomer
- Youth involvement
- Environment
- Francophonie and culture
- Sports and recreation
“It’s very easy to submit a nomination this year,” adds Desroches. “We’ve simplified the process to allow as many people as possible to submit names of volunteers who have stood out.”
Nominations will be accepted until Friday, March 7, at 11:59 p.m. (Atlantic time). Full details, including the eligibility criteria and nomination form, are available at dieppe.ca/en/chalins.
A selection committee will choose three finalists per category, and the winners will be announced at the gala at the Wingate hotel on May 1.
