Champlain/Lorette Intersection Temporary Closure (July 28-30)

The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that the intersection of Champlain and Lorette streets will be closed to traffic from Monday, July 28 to Wednesday, July 30, 2025. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open on Champlain Street. A detour will be in place via Chartersville and Therrien streets.
This partial closure is necessary in order to allow for the replacement of the water system. Please note that businesses and properties will remain accessible during the work.

Lane reductions on Paul Street (July 23)

The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Paul Street, at the intersection of Ste-Thérèse Street, will be reduced to one single lane of traffic in each direction on Wednesday, July 23. In case of inclement weather, the work will be postponed to the following day.
These lane reductions are necessary in order to allow for work related to the reconstruction of Ste-Thérèse Street. Please note that businesses will remain accessible during construction.

Commemoration of the Great Upheaval at the Acadian Odyssey Monument

The City of Dieppe, in partnership with the Fédération des associations de familles acadiennes (FAFA), invites the public to a ceremony marking the Great Upheaval on Monday, July 28, at the Acadian Odyssey Monument.
This FAFA-led event is open to all ages and will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The program will feature fiddle music, bell ringing, flower laying, a tap dance recital, and more.

Lane reductions on Champlain Street (Aviation to Lorette)

Dieppe, July 18, 2025 – The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists of intermittent lane reductions on Champlain Street, between Aviation Avenue and Lorette Street, starting Monday, July 21.
These lane reductions are necessary in order to allow for the replacement of certain water mains as well as resurfacing work. Construction will continue until October. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.
Please allow extra travel time or consider using an alternate route when possible.

Gauvin Road Temporary Closure (July 21 and 22)

Dieppe, July 18, 2025 – The City of Dieppe wishes to inform motorists that Gauvin Road, between Collège Street and the Marché/Gauvin intersection, will be completely closed on Monday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 22. In case of inclement weather, the work will be postponed to the following day.
This closure is necessary to allow for paving and line marking work. To ensure the safety of workers, only local traffic will be permitted.
