Lane reductions on Champlain Street (Aviation to Lorette)

Dieppe, July 18, 2025 – The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists of intermittent lane reductions on Champlain Street, between Aviation Avenue and Lorette Street, starting Monday, July 21.
These lane reductions are necessary in order to allow for the replacement of certain water mains as well as resurfacing work. Construction will continue until October. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.
Please allow extra travel time or consider using an alternate route when possible.

Gauvin Road Temporary Closure (July 21 and 22)

Dieppe, July 18, 2025 – The City of Dieppe wishes to inform motorists that Gauvin Road, between Collège Street and the Marché/Gauvin intersection, will be completely closed on Monday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 22. In case of inclement weather, the work will be postponed to the following day.
This closure is necessary to allow for paving and line marking work. To ensure the safety of workers, only local traffic will be permitted.
Detour signs will be in place.

The purpose of the proposed amendments, as outlined in Bylaw Z-10 (2021-14), is to modify the Zoning Map from CM zone (Commercial Mixed) to R4 zone (Residential High Density Mixed) for a portion of the lands located on Murray Avenue and identified under PIDs 70714316, 70714324 and 70718044, as shown on Schedule A-10 attached hereto, and from R2 zone (Residential Two-Unit Dwelling) to RA zone (Rural)...
Temporary Detour on Melanson Road

The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Melanson Road, between Centrale Street and Bourque Road, will be completely closed to traffic from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 18.
This closure is necessary in order to allow for work related to the construction of a walking and cycling trail. Detour signs will be in place.
The City regrets any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our infrastructure.
