Click before you dig: Dieppe joins the Info-Excavation network
Before starting any digging work, you must locate municipal pipes and other underground infrastructure that may be affected. The City of Dieppe now participates in the Info-Excavation network, a free service that manages locate requests and helps coordinate the process.
The service is intended for homeowners, businesses and anyone planning excavation work. Info-Excavation is part of the national Click Before You Dig initiative, which brings together multiple underground utility networks in a single portal to simplify requests and help ensure worksite safety.
How do I submit a request to Info-Excavation?
There are two options:
- By telephone (toll-free): 1.800.663.9228
Please note
- NB Power is not currently part of the Info-Excavation network. You must therefore contact them at 1.800.663.6272 before digging.
- Locating underground infrastructure on private property remains the responsibility of the property owner.
- Info-Excavation will forward your request to the City of Dieppe, and on-site verification will be carried out by technicians from the City’s Operations Department.
