Become a Member of the Dog Appeals Committee

Do you have experience interacting with dogs or wish to get involved in municipal life? The Dog Appeals Committee for Fierce or Dangerous Dogs is for you!

The committee’s mandate is to hear appeals regarding a dog’s status, review investigation files, hear from witnesses, and make informed decisions.

By getting involved, you will contribute to transparency, fairness, and community safety.

This is a volunteer role, and appeal cases occur occasionally. No specialized knowledge of animal behaviour is required, but familiarity with dogs and the ability to work effectively on a committee are desirable.
