As part of Volunteer Week, the City of Dieppe hosted its traditional Les Chalins Gala on Thursday evening to celebrate the invaluable contributions of individuals who, through their dedication, help make Dieppe a dynamic, welcoming, and supportive community.
Inspired by the Acadian word for a flash of light that brightens the sky, the gala recognizes the vital role of volunteerism in our growing city and the positive impact that civic engagement has on residents’ quality of life.
“Our community life is incredibly rich, thanks to volunteers who inspire with their energy, solidarity, and creativity,” said Mayor Yvon Lapierre. “Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients, and heartfelt thanks for your generosity and commitment, which make our community more humane and vibrant.”
