Dieppe Launches Municipal Emergency Alert System
Dieppe is proud to announce the launch of its very own municipal emergency alert system. Whether it’s for a water main break leading to a boil-water advisory, an evacuation, a serious weather event, a road closure due to flooding or some other issue, the system aims to keep residents informed and up to date.
“We’re pleased to follow in the footsteps of Moncton and Riverview in launching Dieppe Alerts. It’s also part of the joint emergency measures plan that we share with our two neighbouring communities, ensuring effective coordination in critical situations,” said Dieppe Fire Chief and Emergency Measures Director Marc Cormier. “The public is invited to sign up for alerts as soon as possible to get real-time information pertaining to their safety and that of their families.”
The system includes a public dashboard with the latest information on various municipal emergencies and advisories, as well as useful links. Residents can also subscribe to receive text and/or email alerts for specific types of emergencies.
Dieppe Alerts does not replace the Alert Ready system used by other agencies such as the New Brunswick government and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
