
Dieppe Marks National Francophone Immigration Week
The City of Dieppe invites the public to take part in a free round table discussion on the theme “Thank you for enriching our francophone community” on Wednesday, November 5, from 6 to 8 p.m., at City Hall (333 Acadie Avenue). The event, held as part of National Francophone Immigration Week, is free and open to everyone.
It will bring together voices from diverse backgrounds to reflect on the richness and challenges of being francophone in a minority setting. The guest panelists will be:
- Ansoumane Condé, Communications Director, Réseau en immigration francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick (RIFNB)
- Bertrand Cahuet, Consul General of France
- Cyprien Okana, member of the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission
- Leyla Sall, Professor of Sociology, Université de Moncton
- Radia Mazemate, Director of Programs and Services, Centre d’accueil et d’accompagnement francophone des immigrants du Sud-Est du Nouveau-Brunswick (CAFI)
This activity will take place in French. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and take part in a friendly, informal networking session.

This initiative is organized by the City of Dieppe, with support from the Réseau en immigration francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick (RIFNB), Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadiennes du Canada (FCFA).
National Francophone Immigration Week, which takes place from November 2 to 8, 2025, celebrates the contributions of immigrants to the cultural, social and economic vitality of Canada’s francophone and Acadian communities.
