A Vibrant Summer in Dieppe with Something for Everyone
The City of Dieppe invites residents and visitors to experience a colourful and dynamic summer season! From now until the end of August, a wide range of free activities will animate the city’s parks, public spaces, and heritage sites.
A seasonal favourite, The Wednesday Show returns to Place 1604 on July 2, bringing weekly musical performances that span genres from folk to pop to Acadian tunes—perfect for creating a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. Visitors are encouraged to come by bike and take advantage of our valet parking pilot project. (Don’t forget your bike lock!)
Singing Sundays at Doiron House will offer a unique blend of music, culture, and heritage. Every Sunday afternoon, local artists will perform in this historic setting, which will also host guided tours with interpreters in period costume.
On Monday evenings, cultural diversity takes centre stage with Diversity Mondays at Place 1604. Each week, a different country will be celebrated through music, dance, or cuisine, offering a chance to travel the world without leaving Dieppe!
From July 8 to August 26, Active Tuesdays will get residents moving with a lineup of free fitness and wellness activities at Place 1604.
Also making a welcome return are block parties! These festive gatherings will be held at various municipal playgrounds and include bouncy castles, BBQs, and entertainment for all ages. Residents interested in hosting their own party are invited to complete the form at dieppe.ca/blockparty
The summer season will also feature a number of key events, including:
- Canadian Multiculturalism Day – June 27
- Canada Day – July 1 at Place 1604, with fun for all ages
- National Acadian Day – August 15 at MusiquART, a flagship celebration of Acadian pride featuring the farewell performance of beloved group Reveil
Whether you’re drawn to culture, physical activity, or simply enjoying the outdoors, summer in Dieppe promises to be fun, festive, and inclusive. Come out and enjoy it all!
