Mission
P.R.O. Kids is a community program that helps Dieppe and Memramcook youth ages 2 to 18, whose families are experiencing financial difficulties, to participate in community, cultural and sports activities.
The program allows these young people to register for activities that would otherwise not be accessible to them for financial or equipment-related reasons or because of their particular family situation.
Financial needs
Families eligible for the P.R.O. Kids program must demonstrate a genuine financial need. P.R.O. Kids uses the low-income threshold, which has been set at $60,000 before taxes for a family of four.
This amount is based on the low income thresholds of the Canada Revenue Agency (annual gross income before taxes) and takes into account the inflation recorded in recent years.
- Family of 2 – $46,000
- Family of 3 – $53,000
- Family of 4 – $60,000
- Family of 5 – $67,000
- Family of 6 – $74,000
- Family of 7 – $81,000

- As a work team: mobilize your colleagues to raise funds together in your workplace.
- In your community: reach out to your friends and family to support the cause.
- By walking: join P.R.O. Kids at the annual Coop IGA Wool Sock Walk event.
- Direct donation: make a personal donation to help P.R.O. Kids reach its goal and double the impact for youth.
