Government of Canada investing $380,000 to restore the Doiron House

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe is pleased to announce that the Government of Canada is investing $380,000, to be matched by the City, to restore the Doiron House.
This ancestral Acadian home was built by Joseph Doiron in 1841 and passed down from generation to generation. The City of Dieppe acquired the Doiron House in 2015 with the goal of making the exceptional heritage of this house accessible to the community and sharing its history.

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to inform the public that the cause of the problem in the refrigeration piping of the oval has been identified.
Some parameters of the electronic refrigeration system have been adjusted to deal with the rapid temperature changes known over the last few days.
Consultants, the general contractor, the equipment supplier and municipal staff are working together to optimize the system’s performance during this first season of operation.

Closure of the Skating Oval

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to inform the public that the refrigerated skating oval at Place 1604 must be closed indefinitely.
The mild temperatures of the last few days have shown that a problem with the refrigeration piping persists.
This problem is not related to the work done in January to correct a fault in a maintenance valve.
It should be noted that the show scheduled for Friday, February 24, as part of Fun on Ice will take place as planned.

DIEPPE (NB) — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise residents that non essential services are currently suspended due to the snowstorm. The community facilities (City Hall, AJL and Centenaire arenas, Aquatic Centre) are closed for the rest of the day, Thursday, February 16.
Garbage collection

DIEPPE (NB) — In anticipation of the snowstorm that is expected to start tonight, the City of Dieppe asks residents who missed the last garbage collection to please pick up the bags and garbage cans that were left curbside or on top of snow banks. This will help with snow removal operations.
Blue bags can be brought back curbside during the week of February 27 (at the exception of green bags that can be placed curbside during the week of February 20).
