Dieppe celebrates International Day of Older Persons

DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe Seniors’ Committee invites members of the public to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons on Tuesday, October 1, at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre.

As part of the event, speaker Dianne Landry will offer a presentation entitled Les émotions au coeur de notre vie (in French) which will delve into the richness of emotions and the importance of being aware of them in our daily lives. Fourth anniversary of the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre

DIEPPE, N.B. — Saturday, September 21, is the fourth anniversary of the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre. To celebrate this special occasion, the Centre is opening its pools for only $4 per session. Come swim and meet the staff and friends of the Centre.

This includes the public swim from 3 p.m. to 4:55 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7:55 p.m., as well as the lap swimming from 1 p.m. to 2:55 p.m.

Please note that bathing caps are mandatory and that all children aged six years of age and under must be accompanied...

Lane reductions on Dieppe Boulevard

DIEPPE (N.B.) — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Dieppe Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction, at the corner of the Adélard-Savoie Boulevard intersection, during the night of Sunday September 15 to Wednesday September 18, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists will be asked to respect the flashing red traffic lights, acting as a four-way stop.

Closure of Thomas Street

DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Thomas Street will be closed between Thaddée Street and Chardonnay Street, on Sunday September 15,for the reconstruction of the street.

A detour will be in place, via Gauvin Road, Pascal Avenue, and Chartersville Road.

Dieppe welcomes 5th Annual Wool Sock Walk for P.R.O. Kids Dieppe

DIEPPE, N.B. — On Friday, October 4, board members, partners and friends of P.R.O. Kids will don those familiar grey, white and red wool socks for the fifth time to walk through the streets of Memramcook and Dieppe to raise $30,000 to assist youth in need.

The event is the largest fundraising campaign for the organization which supported more than 260 sport, cultural and recreational activities last year for youth experiencing a difficult family situation.
